Email Notifications
You can configure Content Manager to send email notifications with the Content Manager Workgroup Servers. The email notifications contain the dataset name, This Email Message has been automatically generated by Content Manager (DBName).
Setting up or modifying email notification details
- Click the Options button
- Click the Email Server tab.
The Email Server dialog box appears.
- Email server - name of your mail server
- SMTP port - SMTP port number
- Send email from this email address - email address that the error notification will be sent from
- Display this name for email sent - the sender to display on the notification email messages
- Send email to this email address - email address that error notifications will be sent to
- SMTP connection security - by default this option is set to None. To allow a secure connection to be negotiated with the SMTP server, from the drop-down list, select STARTTLS.
- Enable SMTP Authentication - select if your email server uses SMTP authentication
- SMTP Username - available when SMTP authentication is selected. User name for authentication with your email server.
- SMTP Password - available when SMTP authentication is selected. Password for SMTP authentication with your email server
- Test setup - use to test whether your error notification settings are correct.
- Click OK.
