Opening file in application

You can open files in channels or My Files in their native application for editing.

To open file for editing, perform the following:

1. Navigate to the list of files either in a channel or in My Files.
2. Select the file you want to edit and click More option.

3. Click Open and select either Open in app or Open in browser.

   Open in app option will open the file in native desktop application and Open in browser option will open the file in browser based native application.

4. Update the file as needed and save the changes.

5. Close the file and exit the native application.

If the file is already recorded in Content Manager, make sure you check in the file again. When you check in the file again, the record will be incremented with a new revision.
