Location Properties

A Location's properties can be only accessed from a Select from Locations dialog, which is accessible from Location type fields on a record Properties dialog, or when you're updating record Locations e.g. setting the Assignee. Right-click on the Location and click Properties to display the location's Properties dialog box.

Depending on your user permissions, you can update the details of the Location on a form similar to the new Location creation form.

The tabs available on the record Properties dialog can include:

  • Person - only available for Person type Locations - allows users to view the name and personal details of the Person type Location. Users with the required permissions will be able to modify the details. See Creating New Person type Locations for details.
  • Details - allows users to view the general information details of the Location. Users with the required permissions will be able to modify the details. See Creating New Locations for details.
  • Physical Addresses - allows users to view the address information of the Location. Users with the required permissions will be able to modify the details. See Creating New Locations for details.
  • Access Controls - allows users to view the Access Control settings of the Location. Users with the required permissions will be able to modify the details. See Creating New Locations for details.
  • Notes - allows users to view the Notes added to the Location, as well as adding additional notes. See Adding Notes for details.
  • Governance - allows users to view the Jurisdiction the Location belongs to. Users with the required permissions will be able to modify the details. See Creating New Locations for details.
