External Link Parameters

Parameters can be assigned to an External Link to be passed from the selected Content Manager object to the External Link. The available values and parameters will differ depending on the Usage of the External Link.

To build the command line parameters, click the KwikSelect on the Command Line parameter field, and then select the required parameters from the following options:

Insert External Link Parameter options

  • Standard Property - from the drop-down menu, select a standard Content Manager property value.
  • Additional Field - from the drop-down menu, select a Content Manager Additional Field property value.
  • Special Substitution Parameter - from the drop-down menu, select a special substitution parameter to be passed.
  • Parameter Value must be non-blank for link to execute - select this option to run the External Link only when the selected parameters contain a value.

Multiple parameters, of different types, can be selected, but each selection must be saved by clicking OK on the Insert External Link Parameter dialogue box before repeating the selection process.
