Finding records in Offline Records
You can search for records in Offline Records using practically any of the information about them that is saved in Content Manager.
This is the pane in the main Content Manager window under the toolbars.
Use the fields:
- Search For - select Offline Records
- Search By - use KwikSelect to select a search method, or type all in the drop-down box
- Matching criteria - enter the data to find
- Run the search button - click to start the search

- On the File menu, click Work Offline
- Right-click the list and on the Search menu, click Refine Search.
The Search for Offline Records dialogue box appears. - Use the Boolean search editor, or, to use the options below, switch to the multi-field editor:
- Find Offline Records with name containing - to search for records in Offline Records by their title
- Match case - select for a case sensitive search
- Match whole word - select to find only records that contain the term as a whole word
- Optional - use the Filter tab to filter the search results:
- Filter top level results to include - by default, Content Manager includes all types of documents.
Clear the check boxes to exclude documents of that type:
- Draft
- Original
- Modified
- Container
- Save filters as default - select to save the current filters for future Offline Records searches
- Load Defaults - if you have changed the filters from the default filters, click to reset the filters to the defaults
- Filter top level results to include - by default, Content Manager includes all types of documents.
- Click OK.
Content Manager returns the records in Offline Records that match your criteria.
