Using search criteria with a Hold

You can enter search criteria for records against a Hold.

See Creating Holds for details about entering search criteria against a Hold.

The search criteria enables you to automate the process of adding records to a Hold by using an external application based on the Content Manager Software Development Kit (SDK).

TIP: Additional information on the SDK can be found:
SDK Documents - https://content-manager-sdk.github.io/Community/

However, you can also use the search criteria to make it more easy to add records to a Hold manually:

  1. Richt-click the Hold and click Run Attached Query.

The Executes the Record search associated with this Hold dialogue box appears:

    • Set the saved Search Last Run On to the following date - select to make the date and time fields available to enter when the search last ran.

      Useful mainly for external applications.

    • Edit the query associated with this Hold - select to be able to edit the search criteria manually
    • Filter results to only find Records after the following date - select for Content Manager to return only records whose Date Registered is on or after this date
  2. Click OK.

Content Manager returns the records matching your criteria.

  3. Follow the instructions in topic Adding records to Holds to add all or some of the records to the Hold
