Changing Access Control for multiple items

  1. Tag the items you want to apply Access Controls to
  2. Right-click them and from the Security and Audit menu, select Security/Access
  3. Click the Access Control tab.
  4. Select an item in the Set Access For section
  5. Click one of the buttons in the To section to change the Access Control type.

    Content Manager will display the new Access Control type in the Change Requested column.

  6. Behaviour with respect to Record Type access control references - select the option you want to apply:
    • No Change
    • Access Controls bypass any Record Type reference
    • Access Controls apply together with Record Type references
  7. Click OK.

    The All Tagged Records confirmation dialogue box appears.

    For your reference, it displays some record details at the top and your requested change below.

    • Click Yes to process each record individually - you can then click No to cancel each step
    • Click Yes To All to process all selected records
    • Click Cancel to cancel the process

The current record being processed appears in this dialogue box. Content Manager also shows any messages here.
