- AGLS.Function - the business function of the agency to which this resource is related.
This element is useful for consumers who want to discover resources related to a particular government business function or activity. This will enable the consumer to search for and discover all resources related to a particular business function/activity.
The element is useful to indicate the business role of the resource in terms of government functions.
Function descriptor values will be selected from an agency-based Thesaurus of function terms. In these cases, the Thesaurus name should be included in the value for the element. However, it is strongly recommended that the Thesaurus be registered with AGLS as an official scheme.
The Thesaurus values are important as they may be linked to a government wide function Thesaurus.
