Creating storage space lower level items

Once you have created your top level, create your lower level items:

NOTE: Lower level items must be created to make the Space system active - top level items cannot be used on their own.

  1. Right-click the top level you want to create the lower level items under and select New Lower Levels.

The Add Lower Space Levels dialogue box appears.

  2. Select the Space Type you want to create from:
    • Floor
    • Area
    • Bay
    • Row
    • Shelf
    • Slot.
  3. Type the number of Space type levels you want to create.

NOTE: The more slots you create, the longer it will take to create them.

  4. Start numbering at - type the number you want to start the level numbering from.
  5. Maximum Records in Lowest Level - type the number of records to be held in each lowest level space
  6. Intermediate levels have Holding Bays - select to use the level as a Holding Bay.

Holding Bays are simply temporary storage places for you to hold records until they are ready to be transferred.

  7. Once you have created a storage level structure, you can modify the Total Capacity (number of Records) default by selecting Properties from the lowest level's right-click menu.
