Declassify On tab

The Declassify On tab appears and enables you to set the scheduled security declassification details:

• Exempt from declassification - a text describing why the record is exempt from declassification requirements. Type in the reason(s) that the selected record(s) will be exempted from the declassification.
• Declassify on the specified date - a date when the record should be declassified. You can set the record to be declassified on a specified date.

  NOTE: If the declassify type is a date and no Security Guide Entry is selected, the date must be entered.

  If it is more than 10 years from creation, a warning will appear.

• Declassify after a specified number of years - number of years after which the record should be declassified. Set the record to be declassified after a specified period has passed.
• Declassify after the specified event/Event and Date - a text description of the event or event and date that is required to happen to trigger declassification. Type in the details of an event that must occur before the declassification can be applied.
• Additional declassification instructions - description of action to be taken when declassifying.
