Destroy Record Access Control
You can change the Access Control Destroy Record for an individual record to determine who is allowed to mark its disposition as Destroyed. Anyone who does not belong to the group with that Access Control cannot mark the record as Destroyed.
Users of user type Administrator are not affected by this restriction.
NOTE: You can also prevent users from marking records as Destroyed through their user profile in the Location properties' Profile tab. In this case, they would not be able to delete the record even if they did belong to the Destroy Record Access Control group.
You also need to be part of the Destroy Record Access Control group for the following tasks:
- Record Number - to modify record numbers and foreign barcode
- Change Record Type - to change the record's Record Type
- Delete Record - to remove the record from the dataset
