Changing the Owner Location

NOTE: Unless you are a user of user type Administrator, you can only change the Owner Location if you

  • belong to the Owner Location or
  • are part of the group on the record's Access Control for Update Record Metadata or Modify Record Access or
  • are within the subordinate hierarchy of the Owner Location

This ensures the integrity of Access Control security.

  1. Search for the record whose Location you want to change
  2. Right-click and select the Locations - Owner option.

    The Owner dialogue box appears.

  3. The current Owner Location for the selected record appears.

    Delete it and either type in the new Owner Location name or use KwikSelect to select one from the available Locations.

  4. Click OK.

TIP: You can also change the Owner Location of the record by dragging a Location onto a record using the right mouse button.

This will display a menu to change the Owner Location.

Using the left mouse button will only enable you to change the Assignee Location.
