Creating the Classification top level items and numbering schemes
The top level of a Classification plan appears as the first level in the Classification plan hierarchy.
The name of the top level item will be the first word in the title of a record that uses the Classification plan.
The top level numbering pattern option is only available when you are adding a new top level item to the Classification plan.
Changing the top level pattern or the first number affects all new top level items added to the Classification plan, but does not change any existing top level Classification numbers.
Level items added after the top level pattern has changed will use the new top level pattern for numbering.
The changes will not affect any previously defined top level numbers.
