Dragging documents onto existing records
Existing record without electronic document
The Check In an Electronic Document dialogue box appears.
- Draft in Offline Records - select a document from your Offline Records.
- Local File - confirm that the dropped document is the correct one - displays the file path and name in the File field.
- View - view the document in the internal Content Manager viewer - unless you have a bypass set for that file type, in which case it will open in the associated application.
- Change Date Created to Document Date - change the record's date created to that of the document being attached to it.
- Keep document(s) checked out after check in complete - keep the document(s) checked out to the user.
Once you click OK, the document will be checked in automatically.
Existing record with electronic document
When your document was previously checked out from Content Manager
The Check In (a Checked Out document) dialogue box appears.
When your document was not previously checked out from Content Manager
The Check In <File Name> dialogue box appears.
