The Search Methods dialogue appears.
- Click the expand symbol next to Additional Fields.
This will display the available Additional Fields.
When you select a String field that is using a Lookup Set, Content Manager displays the Search for Records dialogue with a field to select an operator like Matching, and a field to enter the Lookup Set Additional Field value to find records for.NOTE: When searching through the Lookup Items, you can type one or more characters in your search to refine the list which displays a Prefix Search window:
- If its a numeric short value only lookup set, then a number edit dialogue appears and you can put in a number. Items with a number equal to or greater than the number entered are displayed. Items are sorted by numeric value.
- If its an alphabetic short value only lookup set, a string prefix dialogue appears. Items with a short value equal to or greater than the string entered are displayed. Items are sorted by short value.
- If its an alphabetic long value only lookup set, a string prefix dialogue appears. Items with a long value equal to or greater than the string entered are displayed. Items are sorted by long value.
- If it's a lookup set with short and long values, a window appears with an option to do a prefix search either by the short value or the long value (the short value will be a number if appropriate). Items are sorted according to the selection made.
- If you wish, use the field More Search Options and click OK.
Content Manager returns the search result.
NOTE: If a string field has been defined but not linked to a Lookup Set, then this field operates as a free text field. Searching or clicking the KwikSelect button within this field will display a list of all words in the field.
