Creating a Web page

  1. Search for items and have them display on screen
  2. Right-click and on the Send To menu, click Web Publisher.

The Web Publisher dialogue box appears.

    • Title - the heading you want for the Web page.

The default heading is the search criteria used to display the list of records.

    • Basic Detail Layout - the basic layout is the index page listing all records selected for Web publishing.

This page will have links to detailed pages for each record selected - they are the full detail layout pages described below.

You need to select one of the pre-defined Web publisher layouts for the index page, use KwikSelect to display the list.

    • Full Detail Layout - each individual record selected will have a Web page created for it.

Each of these pages will be linked to the index page, or basic layout page - described above.

To make the detailed layout different to the basic layout, you can select a different pre-defined Web publisher layout page by using KwikSelect to display the list.

    • Modify Date Published - selected by default.

Select to update the Date Published.

If selected, you will have access to a date/time edit box with a default value in it.

      You can change the date.

      See Dates.

This option remembers its last used state - i.e. if you clear the option, the next time you use it, it will be unselected.

The date published can be modified manually later.

As the publish proceeds, each record will have the date published updated to reflect this new date.

    • Filename and location - type in the full path and file name of the Web page or use the Browse button at the end of the field to select a file and/or folder
    • Delete Old Files Published to this Location - select for Content Manager to delete the existing files located at the destination folder.

It deletes all files at the specified location.

  3. Click OK.

Content Manager creates the Web page in the location you requested.
