Items
Common captions and data field items can be inserted into all bands of a report.
These include items such as the name of the Content Manager dataset, the page number of the report, etc.
The items listed below are common to all bands.
Other bands will contain items specific to their type, for example, the record band contains extra items that are specific to record metadata.
Common items
- Text - add non-variable text fields inside report bands
- Login Name - the person who is printing the report
- Dataset - the dataset that the report is run from
- Date - date report generated
- Time - time report generated
- Page - page number
- Licensee - the organisation name that Content Manager has been licensed to
- Report Title - text field which displays the title of the report
- Optional Title - the report name that is defined in the Print Report dialogue box
- Search criteria title - the title of the Search dialogue box.
For example, when you perform a search for records with a date registered between 01/01/1995 and 01/01/2003, then the search criteria title is Records - Date Registered between '1/1/1995' and '1/1/2003' - 83 Records Found.
- Tab stops - the tab stop item helps position other items within bands
- Rectangles - draws rectangles inside report bands
- Lines - draws lines inside report bands
- Bitmaps - inserts bitmaps into report bands
- Barcode - adds a barcode. This barcode is unique for each record and can be read by a barcode scanner.
