Enabling sending records by email

You may want to email a record you have found in Content Manager to someone else.

This function is also available for other items in Content Manager, for example, Locations.

The mail message will include a number of metadata fields from Content Manager as selected by the user and a copy of the associated electronic document where one exists.

To enable the email function, Content Manager requires some mail type configurations for the local computer in File - Options - Email.

NOTE: When sending email from Content Manager, 16-bit email applications - for example, Microsoft Mail etc. - cannot use the email address book, but the user can type in an email address and Content Manager will attempt to resolve it
