Security policy
Many organisations that use Content Manager have different security policies from each other.
To this end, Content Manager contains system settings that enable you to define the different security policies.
- Retrieval Policy - enables an organisation to define whether an item should be hidden from a user if the item's security level or caveat profile is higher than that of the user
- Movement Policy - enables an organisation to define the behaviour when a record is moved to a Location with a lower security profile than the record.
The choices are:
- Allow and note the Security Breach
- Display a warning, allow and note the Security Breach
- Prevent the Security Breach
- Container Policy - enables an organisation to define the behaviour when a record is contained in a record with a lower security profile.
The choices are, per Record Type:
- Ignore
- Give a warning
- Give a warning and update the security of the container
- No warning and automatically update the security of the container
- Prevent containing
