Customising the Explorer Window

The Content Manager objects that are displayed in the Explorer window can be customized by the user or set as a Global Setting by the Content Manager Administrator (see Saving Global Settings).

To add or remove object types from the Explorer window, right-click in item list pane and click Settings. The Configure Explorer dialog box is displayed.

Explorer Top Level Categories

Select the items to be displayed as the top level categories in the Explorer window. The items listed in the Items Selected columns will be displayed.

Favourites

Select the items to be displayed as the top level categories in the Explorer window. The items listed in the Items Selected columns will be displayed.

Trays

Select the items to be displayed as the top level categories in the Explorer window. The items listed in the Items Selected columns will be displayed.

Use the buttons on the Settings dialog to add/remove items, as well as arrange the order they will be displayed in the Explorer window.

  • Add - add a column from the Items Available list to the Items Selected list
  • Remove - remove a column from the Items Selected list
  • Up / Down - move a column up or down the list, changing the position the object will appear in the Explorer window.

Other Settings

Set the maximum number of items to be displayed under each level. The minimum setting is 5 and the maximum is 500.

TIP: If the list of items to display is larger than the set limit, a Double click to get more option will be displayed under the item list.
