LDAP Relationship Mappings tab
Within an LDAP tree, certain LDAP attributes will specify relationships to other entries in the LDAP tree. For example, 'member' and 'memberOf' LDAP attributes are commonly used. The Directory Synchronisation tool allows arbitrary LDAP relationship attributes to be mapped to any of the Content Manager association types (Member, Member Of, Supervised By, Supervisor Of, Delegate Of, Has Delegates, Administrated By and Administrator Of.)
Configuring Relationship Mappings
- To create a new relationship mapping, right-click under Relationship Mappings and click Add.
- To copy an existing relationship mapping, right-click on the existing relationship mapping and click Copy.
- To edit a relationship mapping, double-click on the relationship mapping, or right-click on the relationship mapping and click Edit.
- To remove a relationship mapping, right-click on the relationship mapping and click Remove.
The Edit Relationship Mapping dialogue is used to edit relationship mappings:
- LDAP Attribute Name - name of the LDAP attribute that specifies the relationship
- Location Relationship - the Content Manager association type that corresponds to the LDAP relationship.
- Enabled - enables the current relationship mapping when running the synchronisation.
- Map Parent DN As ‘Member Of’ Relationship check box – maps LDAP parent relationships to Content Manager as 'Member Of' association. Note that for a LDAP parent relationship to be mapped to Content Manager, both the parent entry and the child entry must be part of the synchronisation set. Parent relationships can only be mapped to the 'Member Of' association type.
