Content Manager Desktop

Content Manager Desktop enables you to access the Content Manager search and edit functions without having to log into Content Manager.

You can start Content Manager Desktop by clicking it in your computer Start menu under Content Manager.

Content Manager Desktop uses the same right-click functionality as is available from Content Manager.

NOTE: If you close Content Manager Desktop while a document is still open, the warning message You currently have one or more documents open for editing. If you continue, you will need to manually check these documents in using the Offline Records check-in function, otherwise press Cancel and the open documents will be displayed. will appear. If you ignore the warning message and continue to close Content Manager Desktop, then the document will not be checked back into Content Manager. You will need to check it back in manually.
The safest option is to click Cancel and in the Open Documents pane in Content Manager at the bottom that appears, review the documents and close them or keep editing them and then close them before closing Content Manager.
There may be a slight delay for open documents to appear, display the correct status and then disappear from the Open Documents pane as Content Manager detects their status.
