Finding records associated with an item
Content Manager enables you to quickly find and view the records associated with a selected item - for example, Locations, records, Classifications or Retention Schedules:
Viewing a record's related records
- Right-click the record, and on the Navigation menu, Content Manager displays the current relationships the record has to other records.
When there is no Navigation command, the record has no related records, or none that you have permission to view. - Use the command in the Navigation menu, for example, Container Records, to find the records of that kind, for example, the record's container records
Viewing a Location's associated records and other items
- Right-click the Location to find associated items for, and the Show menu displays the options for associated items
- Click the one you want to use, for example, Show Created Records to find the records that the Location has created.
Content Manager displays the results in a list.
Viewing records for Classifications, Retention Schedules and others
- Right-click the item whose records to find and click Show Records or Show - Show Records.
Content Manager displays the records in a list.
You can also tag multiple items and the Show Records command returns records for all of them.
