Viewing a record attachment

To view a record attachment or its electronic document, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the location where your record is available, for example, Favourites, Recent Documents, Recent Container or search for your record using the Search option.

    The record list is displayed.

  2. Click More option of the record you want to view the attachment or the electronic document, a context menu is displayed.

  3. Select View option. The record attachment or the electronic document is displayed.

    NOTE: Viewing image and video attachments (Android Only)

    In Android, the image and video files are not converted to HTML, and therefore, you may have issues when trying to attach them to a record.

    To overcome this, you need to add the bypassHtmlConversion attribute in hptrim.config file located at Content Manager install folder (for example, C:\Program Files\Micro Focus\Content Manager\Service_API).

    To add the bypassHtmlConversion attribute, perform the following steps:

    1. In Content Manager client, navigate to Service_API folder.

    2. Open the hptrim.config file in a text editor.

    3. Add the bypassHtmlConversion attribute to the setup parameter.

      For example,

      <setup databaseId="21" 
      bypassHtmlConversion=
      "JPG,JPEG,PNG,GIF,BMP,MP4" />
    4. Save and close the hptrim.config file.

Viewing the records offline

You can download records for offline viewing.

To download records to your mobile, perform the following steps:

  1. Navigate and access the record you want to download on your mobile.

  2. Click More option of the record and select Download for offline viewing option from the context menu.

    You can access the record from Downloaded Documents.

The documents downloaded for offline viewing is listed in Local Items page. You can sync, delete and sort the downloaded document list:

  • Sync all files - An icon is displayed to indicate whether the document is synced or not.

    To sync all the documents, click More option and select Sync all files option from the context menu. Suppose a document that you have downloaded for offline viewing is deleted from the Content Manager client, then you will not be able to view the document in the Mobile App. However, it may still be available in the Local Items page of your Mobile App unless you sync all the files.

  • Delete - To delete a document, click More option and select Delete option from the context menu. Tick the check box for the document(s) you want to delete and then click Delete (top right) option. Click Delete in the confirmation dialog also. The selected document(s) are removed from the Local Items page.

  • Sort - To sort the list, click Downloaded on top left. A context menu with options to sort the list is displayed. You can sort by Name, Record number, Downloaded (date and time), and Synced. Selecting the Synced option lists the synced documents on top followed by the unsynced documents.
