Personal Details page

Only available for Person Location Types.

Use the Personal Details page to add the user's details.

  • Title - the Location's title.

Enter your own title or use the drop-down list:

    • Dr.
    • Miss
    • Mr.
    • Mrs.
    • Ms.
  • First Names - the first name(s) of the Location.

NOTE: If you enter more than one first name for a Location, then users searching for it have to enter all the first names or use a wildcard.

You cannot search by just one of the names.

Initials - split into Initial 1, Initial 2 and Initials Rest fields.

The first initials field will be completed with the first character in the First Names field.

Enter the initial of the Location's second name here, if applicable.

The Initials Rest field allows up to 25 initials.

  • Last Name Prefix - enter the prefix - if any - of the Location's last name.

This only applies to those names that have two components to the surname, for example, Robert van Bloom.

If the dataset is NEN1888 compliant, then this list can be populated with NEN Honorifics.

For more information, see System Options Locations page.

Otherwise, the list will have user-entered last name prefixes which are stored as a history list.

  • Last Name - the Location's last name
  • Suffix - the Location's suffix, for example, BA, PhD etc.

You can enter your own suffix or use the drop-down list:

    • I
    • II
    • III
    • Jr.
    • Sr.
  • Job Title - the Location's job title.

You can enter your own title or use the drop-down list:

    • Chief Executive Officer
    • Manager
    • Personal Assistant
    • President
    • Secretary
    • Vice President
  • Date Of Birth - the Location's date of birth
  • Gender - the Location's gender:
    • Not Known
    • Male
    • Female
    • Unspecified

NOTE: When the user changes the gender, Content Manager modifies the salutation field if the salutation field is blank or was set by a previous automatic setting within this instance of this dialogue.

Therefore, when you start with a blank gender and blank salutation and then scroll through the genders, the salutations will correctly adjust as well until you manually change the salutation.

  • Salutation - use when the Location requires a separate form of address or salutation name that is not part of the standard available fields.

For example, a parliamentary Minister, The Hon Fred Bloggs MP, would be addressed as Dear Premier.

This is useful in situations where personal data that is stored in Content Manager is used for mail merging.

There may be people for whom the salutation is different from the combination of name prefixes and names.

NOTE: The Title, Suffix and Job Title fields have a history-based approach.

This means that if you have previously entered a new title, then it will appear in this list.
