Integration options

When the Microsoft Outlook online application is integrated with Content Manager, a new Content Manager option is available in the More actions menu or ellipses in each mail item of Outlook online. Along with Content Manager option in More actions, a Content Manager icon () is also available in each Outlook item.

You can access the following menu items:

  • Record - click to check in new or existing email as a record into Content Manager, check in only the attachment, view and edit record properties, add to favorites, and reset the properties of a record to default. This option is available only for the Content Manager option in More actions.
  • Records (search for records) - this option is available only when you compose a mail (new mail, reply or forward). Click and then click Records. The Records option allows you to search for a record(s) and then paste its details in the mail.
  • Check In Style - click to check in selected Outlook item into Content Manager using default values set in the record properties.
  • Linked Folders - click to check in selected Outlook item into Content Manager with a special type of Check In Style that has a link to one of the folders in your mailbox.
  • User Options - click to set the default Check In Style and locale for an email message.
  • Help - click to open the Outlook online integration help file.

Task pane

When you open a document that is already filed in Content Manager and when you click Record or User Options from the Content Manager option, a new Content Manager pane is displayed to the right of the Outlook item, listing the record properties or other options. This pane is referred to as task pane in this help file.
