Importing
NOTE: Unless otherwise specified, the descriptions and processes described in this Help file relevant for the Tab Delimiter Data Formatter.

Start Content Manager DataPort from the Content Manager client Administration - Import/Export menu. Alternatively, from the Content Manager install path, open the DataPort application.
The DataPort dialog box appears.
- Type the name of the project in the Project Name field.
- If required, type a project description into the Description field.
- Select the Authentication Method to use. From the drop-down list, select from:
- Active Directory Federated Services
- Explicit Windows Authentication
- Google Apps
- Integrated Windows Authentication
CAUTION: If anything other than Integrated Windows Authentication is used then DataPort will not run in an unattended fashion, a user name and password will be required.
- Use the KwikSelect to select the Content Manager Database to connect to.
- Select Import as the Data Direction.
- From the drop-down list, select the Content Manager Object Type to be imported.

Once the Import project has been configured, it must be saved. To save an Import project, click Save. Type the File Name of the Import DataPort Project file and click Save.
- Once the project is saved, to import the objects, click Execute.
The Content Manager DataPort Engine Process Information
window will be displayed, indicating the number of:
- Items Processed
- Errors
- Warnings
- Created
- To view the generated Log file for the import process, click Logs. This will display the list of available logs in a new window. Double click on the relevant log file to open and view it.
