Content Manager viewer commands

The options and shortcut commands available in the Content Manager viewer depend on the type of file you are viewing.

The right-click menu displays commands depending on the type of electronic document you are viewing and are described below or self-explanatory.

  • Print - prints a hard copy of the electronic document

    NOTE:

    • Clearing the Print command in the Record Type's Menu page will not affect the ability to print from the Content Manager viewer.
    • The viewing software used by Content Manager (OpenText KeyView IDOL) is designed for generic viewing and does not intend to provide the same viewing or printing experience as the authoring application. Therefore, if the results are not what you expected, you may want to try the authoring application for viewing and/or printing.

  • Copy - copies the electronic document to your clipboard, thereby enabling you to paste it in another application.

    This option is available when a section of the displayed item is selected.

  • Find - to find text within the document
  • Zoom - image only.

    Enlarge or reduce the image:

    • In
    • Out
    • Selection
    • Reset
  • Pin to Content Manager - tiles the viewer window beside the Content Manager window and after you move one, the other follows. Click again to un-pin.
  • Tile With Content Manager - tiles the viewer window and Content Manager
  • View Annotations - displays annotations, if there are any
  • Dither Image - image only. Sets the clearness of the image.
  • Toggle Gridlines - spreadsheets only. Displays and hides the spreadsheet grid lines.
  • Show Full Screen - image only. Displays the item in full screen
  • Draft - to view the document in draft mode
  • Normal - to view the document in normal mode
  • Preview - to view a print preview of the document
  • Full Size - displays the image at actual size.
  • Fit Window - displays the image according to the size of the current window
  • Fit to Page Width - adjusts the size of the image to the current width of the window
  • Fit to Page Height - adjusts the size of the image to the current height size of the window.
  • Rotate Left - rotates the image left by 90 degrees
  • Rotate Right - rotates the image right by 90 degrees
  • Rotate Around - rotates the image by 180 degrees
  • File menu - for the commands:
    • Save As - to save a copy of the electronic document
    • Launch - to launch the electronic document's authoring application
    • Print - to print the electronic document
    • Reply, Reply to All, Forward - available when the electronic document is a mail message to use with an integrated email system
    • Close - closes the viewer window
  • Edit menu:
    • Copy - to copy image parts or text to paste elsewhere
  • View menu:
    • Find, Find Next - to find text within the document
    • Display Hits - to highlight the words found in the document
    • Goto First Hit - to display the first hit
    • Goto Previous Hit - to display the previous hit
    • Goto Next Hit - to display the next hit
    • Goto Last Hit - to display the last hit
    • Toolbars - to display and customise viewer toolbars
    • Status Bar - to display the viewer status bar
  • Window menu:
    • Tile With Content Manager - tiles the viewer window and Content Manager
    • Pin to Content Manager - tiles the viewer window beside the Content Manager window and after you move one, the other follows. Click again to un-pin.
    • Close All Content Manager Viewers - closes all viewer windows
