Report Items Available to Add dialogue box
- On the Home - Layouts menu, click Report and double-click a report.
The Report Layouts dialogue box appears.
- On the View menu, click Available Items.
The Items Available to Add dialogue box appears.
Each band is a group of information; each piece of information in the group is called an item.
- To add an item to your report layout, select it and choose from the buttons below the list how you want the item to look on the page:
- Data - adds the field data without a caption
- Caption - adds the field caption, but not the data
- Both - adds the field caption with the data to the right of the caption
Most items have both a caption and data.
- You can move the field on the page by dragging it to where you want it.
- Data - the items that will display the actual data.
Data fields are band specific. Each report specific band also contains its own type of data fields.
Data field items are placeholders for information in the Content Manager dataset.
NOTE: To print more than one page of notes or text Additional Fields for a record, they need to be the last item in the Item Order dialogue box. Its height must be greater than one line so that it can automatically enlarge vertically to display all the data in the field.
CAUTION: If the report layout contains more than one dynamic text field, for example, both long notes and long text Additional Fields or multiple long text Additional Fields, only the last item in the Item Order dialogue box will be dynamic. Any other dynamic fields in the report layout will print at the size set in the report layout.
- Caption - the corresponding captions for the data items; they are band specific. See Report Item Properties dialogue box.
Each report specific band contains its own type of items.
These items relate directly to the band they appear in.
The record band contains all the items available to add to a report.
Click the expand symbol in front of a band to open the items available for that band.
