DevPartner for Visual C++  BoundsChecker Suite is a suite of tightly integrated development features. DevPartner incorporates static code analysis, error detection, performance analysis, and coverage analysis. DevPartner helps developers detect, diagnose, and resolve software bugs, maximize code performance, and ensure optimal code coverage and testing.

Installable Packages on the DevPartner for Visual C++ BoundsChecker Suite 9.0.1 Installation Media

The DevPartner for Visual C++ BoundsChecker Suite 9.0.1 distribution media contains two separately installable packages:

The DevPartner for Visual C++ BoundsChecker Suite installation program automatically detects supported releases of Visual Studio on the target system and installs the appropriate DevPartner package. If the target system contains an ambiguous combination of Visual Studio versions, the installation program will prompt the user for a choice of which one to install. Only one version of DevPartner may be installed on a single system at any given time.

Information about DevPartner is available through the InfoCenter option in the Start>Programs>Compuware DevPartner menu. For general product information, refer to the Understanding DevPartner manual and the DevPartner Studio Quick Reference guide available through the InfoCenter.

Issues Resolved in This Release

Performance Analysis

While profiling a transaction with both client and server code, Performance Analysis would cause a COM surrogate error which caused the application under analysis to stop responding.

On Vista 32-bit operating systems, the DevPartner Injection Driver service failed to start due to the following error: The system cannot find the file specified.
