2.1 Understanding Base Events

A base event is an event from Workflow Automation or a Workflow Automation adapter. A base event has a list of available attributes with no pre-defined values. You can associate base events with trigger expressions and named event expressions to match incoming events. When you associate a base event with a trigger expression or named event expression, you specify the values for specific attributes you want to compare to attribute values on incoming events.
