If you log in to the Reporting Center Console and the Reporting Center Web Service is unavailable, the following message is displayed:
Web Service ‘WebServiceURL’ is currently unavailable.
Review the following sections for information about resolving this error:
If you encounter this error message when you log in to the Console, ensure that the Reporting Center Application Pool (NRCAppPool) is installed and running. If it is not, you should restart NRCAppPool in IIS Manager and log in to the Reporting Center Console again.
To manually start the NRCAppPool application:
Start IIS Manager on the server hosting the Reporting Center Web Service, and expand Application Pools.
Right-click NRCAppPool and select Start.
Close IIS Manager.
You must ensure that NRCAppPool Identity user account, which is the Windows account used to install the Reporting Center Web Service user, is not expired. If the user account has expired, the Reporting Center Console displays the Service Unavailable error when you log in to the console. You must reactivate the account and reset the password.
To manually reset the NRCAppPool identity user password:
Start IIS Manager on the server hosting the Reporting Center Web Service, and expand Application Pools.
(Conditional) If you are running IIS 6.0:
Right-click NRCAppPool and select Properties. Click the Identity tab.
Click Configurable, enter the Identity user credentials, and click OK.
Right-click NRCAppPool and select Start.
(Conditional) If you are running IIS 7.0 or later:
Select NRCAppPool.
From the Action pane to the right of the Application Pools list, click Advanced Settings.
In the Process Model section, select Identity and click Custom account.
Click Set, and enter the Identity user credentials in the Set Credentials window.
Click OK to close the Set Credentials window, the Application Pool Identity window, and the Advanced Settings window.
Right-click NRCAppPool and select Start.
