Extension - interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.Extension.

This is the parent interface for several Extension interfaces that allow you to extend the capabilities of the DirXML driver for Delimited Text.

getInputFiles() - Method in interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.InputSource

The driver invokes this method once every polling period to determine if there are new input files that need to be processed.

getStatusLevel() - Method in class com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.StatusException

Returns the statusLevel value that was passed into the constructor.

InputSorter - interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.InputSorter.

This interface allows you to implement a class that will receive notification of one or more new input files that the publisher channel has found to process, and allow you to determine the order in which the input files should be processed.

InputSource - interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.InputSource.

When a class implementing this interface is defined and present, the Delimited Text driver asks the class for new input files once every polling period, rather than looking for them directly on the local file system.

init(String, Tracer) - Method in interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.Extension

Invoked right after the Extension is instantiated, which occurs very soon after the driver starts up.

nextInputFile(File) - Method in interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.PreProcessor

Invoked just before the Delimited Text driver processes an input file.

nextOutputFile(File) - Method in interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.PostProcessor

Invoked just after the Delimited Text driver finalizes writing of an output file.

PostProcessor - interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.PostProcessor.

The listener interface for receiving notification of new output files created by the Delimited Text driver's subscriber channel.

PreProcessor - interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.PreProcessor.

The listener interface for receiving notification of new input files to process.

STATUS_ERROR - Static variable in class com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.StatusException

Used to report that a non-fatal error has occurred in the Extension.

STATUS_FATAL - Static variable in class com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.StatusException

Used to report that a fatal error has occurred and that the driver should shut down.

STATUS_WARNING - Static variable in class com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.StatusException

Used to warn that a non-fatal condition has occurred in the Extension.

SkipFileException - exception com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.SkipFileException.

If a PreProcessor wants the Delimited Text driver to skip an input file without processing it, it throws this exception.

SkipFileException() - Constructor for class com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.SkipFileException

StatusException - exception com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.StatusException.

This exception can be thrown by Delimited Text driver extensions to indicate that an error has occurred in the extension.

StatusException(int, String) - Constructor for class com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.StatusException

Creates a StatusException object used to indicate to the driver that an error has occurred in the extension.

sortInputFiles(File[]) - Method in interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.InputSorter

Invoked whenever the pubisher finds new input files to process.

Tracer - interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.Tracer.

An object implementing Tracer is passed to an Extension's init method so that it can send messages to the DSTrace utility.

traceMessage(String) - Method in interface com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.Tracer

Informs the driver of a message to be written to the DSTrace utility.

WaitException - exception com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.delimitedtext.WaitException.

If a PreProcessor wants the Delimited Text driver to skip an input file during the current polling period only, it throws this exception.
