PadPassword

public static String PadPassword(String password,
                                 String padChar)

Ensures a Sybase password is at least 6 characters long. If password is less than 6 characters long, it is padded with character padChar until it is 6 characters long.

Parameters:

password - the password to pad; may be null

padChar - the character to pad with; if null, "", or length > 1, '8' is used.

Returns:

a string length 6 or ""; never returns null
