The XML Install File Wizard enables plug-in developers to easily create plug-in install files. Install files define the roles, tasks, and other characteristics of plug-ins. When you install a plug-in, iManager uses install files to create Role-Based Services objects for plug-ins in NetIQ eDirectory. Install files are formatted as XML.
The wizard collects information about your plug-in, creates an install file, and enables you to install the plug-in in the current tree. It can create a new install file or update an existing install file.
