Dynamic Group Members

If you created a Group on the Create Group page and did not select the Dynamic Group check box, your group is static. You must manually add the members to a group. You can also change a static group to become dynamic by selecting the Dynamic Group check box on the Dynamic > Member Query page. After a static group becomes dynamic, it can be converted back to static status again.

If you created a Group on the Create Group page and selected the Dynamic Group check box, your group is dynamic. It is created by the system and cannot be changed to static status. The Members page displays four boxes: Dynamic Members, Excluded Members, Included Members, and All Members.

Dynamic Members: Text in this box is not editable.

Excluded Members: Specify names of excluded members in this box. An object specified in Included Members overrides the same object specified in Excluded Members.

Included Members: Specify the names of members to be included. iManager adds them to the All Members box.

All Members: Text in this box is not editable. The full list of members comprising a group appears here.

Static Group Members

If you have selected a static group for modification, the Members page displays:

Member: You can add members to the list using the object selector icon.

Count: Displays the number of members in the list.

Nested Group Members

If you have selected a nested group for modification, then the Members page displays:

Static User Members: Allows you to add members to the list by using the object selector icon.

Nested User Members: Displays all the members of the selected group and also the members of the nested groups that are under the particular selected group.

Count: Displays the number of members in the list.
