If you specify the name of the group and its place on the directory tree (context), and then click the Dynamic Group check box on this page, the group is dynamic. It is created by the system and cannot be changed to static status.
If you specify the name of the group and its place on the directory tree without selecting the Dynamic Group check box, the group is static. You can manually edit the membership.
You can change a static group to become dynamic by selecting the Dynamic Group check box on the Dynamic > Member Query page. After a static group becomes dynamic, it can be converted back to static status again.
