Setting Schema Display Names
The eDirectory schema database contains different types of object classes.
For each attribute and object class, you can set a display name in the language
you prefer. Use this procedure to set display names for attributes and object
classes.
Using the attribute accessCardNumber as an example, assume that you don't
want it to display as it is, but you want to use appropriate wording that
is more intuitive for users.
- Select accessCardNumber and click Modify.
The Set Attributes Display Names page appears.
- Under Custom Translation and next to one of the supported languages, type
the name you want to display for accessCardNumber, such as Access Card Number,
in addition to English.
If the user's browser is set to a language that isn't currently supported,
the default display name appears.
- Click OK.
The Set Attributes Display Names page closes, but the entry is not yet saved.
- Click OK at the bottom of the Schema Display Names page to save.
The saved data now resides in
(Web application)/nps/portal/modules/custom/Custom.Resources.properties.
