Additional Property Book Information
The following list contains additional information that you might need to define property books:
- Property Book ID: The name of the property book. This is a required field.
Example: iPrint.Manage Printer
- Property book version number: The property book version number. Whenever
you change the property book definition, you need to update this number and the module version number.
Example: 1.0
- Property book classpath: The fully qualified name of the Java* class file
of the property book.
Example: com.novell.emframe.dev.DirPropertyBook
- Display key name: The key name of the property containing the property book
name that is displayed in the list of roles and tasks. The properties file used
is the file specified in the Resource Properties File field in Step 2.
Example: ManagePrinterTaskDisplayName
- Description key name: The key name of the property containing the property
book description. This description can be localized, and it is used by configuration tasks such as Modify Manager Roles. The properties file used is the file specified
in the Resource Properties File field in Step 2.
Example: ManagePrinterDescription
- Page assignment: Specifies the pages that the property book will contain.
The Available Pages list contains pages that were defined in Step 5.
To specify a page, select it from the Available Pages list, then click
the Right-arrow button to move the page to the Assigned Pages list.
To remove a page, select it from the Assigned Pages list, then click
the Left-arrow button.
- Role assignment: Specifies the roles that the property book will be assigned. The Available Roles list contains the roles defined in Step 3.
To assign a role, select the role from the Available Roles list, then click
the Right-arrow button to move the role into the Assigned Roles list.
To remove an assignment, select the role from the Assigned Roles list,
then click the Left-arrow button.
- Target class object type: Specifies the class object types supported by
the property book. The Available classes list contains classes that are available
on the current tree.
To specify a class, select it from the Available classes list, then click
the Right-arrow button to move the class to the Assigned classes list.
To remove a class, select it from the Assigned classes list, then click
the Left-arrow button. If the class that you need to assign is not in
the Available classes list, specify the class name in the text field and
click the up-arrow button.
- Property book description: A description of the property book. This description
is an attribute of the Property Book object.
- Property book data: Settings used by the property book. Entries are in the
form key=value.
To specify a setting, type the setting in the field and press Enter.
To edit a setting, select it from the parameter list, click the Edit
Item button, edit the setting, and press Enter.
