Additional Role Information
The following list contains additional information that you might need when
defining a role:
- Role ID: The name of the role. This is a required field. The name appears
in the list of roles and tasks if the display key name is not defined (see below).

- Role version number: The role version number. Whenever you change the role definition,
you need to update this number and the module version number.
Example: 1.1
- Display key name: The key name of the property containing the role name
that is displayed in the list of roles and tasks. The properties file used is the
file specified in the Resource Properties File field in Step 2.
Example: eGuideSelfManagement
- Description key name: The key name of the property containing the role
description. This description can be localized, and it is used by configuration
tasks such as Modify Role Assignment. The properties file used is the file
specified in the Resource Properties File field in Step 2.
Example: eGuideSelfManagementDescription
- Role description: A description of the role. This description is an attribute
of the Role object.
- Parameters: Settings used by the role. Entries are in the form key=value.
To specify a parameter, type the parameter in the field and press Enter.
To edit a parameter, select it from the parameter list, click Edit Item,
edit the parameter, and press Enter.
