Establishing "Default" and "By Class" timeout values

The sample jobstream below can be used to display and/or modify the settings used to calculate the number of actual seconds that can elapse before a job is cancelled automatically. In the code below:

• The first step, LIST01, lists the current settings. These are written to the SYSPRINT DD and viewable via ESMAC in the Output Hold queue entry for the job.
• .The second step, STEP10, establishes multipliers for classes A, B, C, and D, and sets a default setting of 10. The multiplier values must be 4 digits and can have a range of 0001 to 9999.

Note the following:

• The JESINFO.DAT file should not be manually edited. Its contents should only be updated via the MVSP0036 utility.
• The JESINFO.DAT is in the same location as your catalog file, typically catalog.dat.
• The settings in JESINFO.DAT are specific to an Enterprise Server region. These settings should not be shared among multiple servers.
