To modify a virtual folder

To rename a virtual folder:

  1. Right-click the virtual folder in Solution Explorer, and click Rename.

To specify what file extensions a custom virtual folder should include:

  1. In Solution Explorer, right-click the custom virtual folder whose properties you need to configure, and then click Properties.
  2. In the Properties window, click the Extensions field and specify the file extensions you would like the virtual folder to contain.

This overrides the settings of the default virtual folders so that any files with that extension move from the default virtual folders or from the project level to your custom virtual folder.

Note: It is not possible to modify the list of supported file extensions for most default virtual folders. For the Copybook folder, you can change the list of supported extensions for copybooks from the IDE properties - click Tools > Options > Text Editor > Micro Focus COBOL > Advanced, and modify the Copybook extensions field.
