To reset the file properties

To revert an individual file property to the value set at project level:

  1. In Solution Explorer, right-click the file whose properties you want to modify.
  2. Click Properties and select one of the available tabbed property pages - for example, COBOL.
  3. Display the drop-down list for the setting that differs from the project properties, and click <inherit from parent or project defaults>.
  4. Click Apply, and then click OK.

To revert all file properties to the values set at project level:

  1. In Solution Explorer, right-click the file whose properties you want to modify.
  2. Click Properties and select one of the available tabbed property pages - for example, COBOL.
  3. Click Use Project Defaults to revert all properties to the values set at project level.
  4. Click Apply, and then click OK.
