Revoking licenses when you have an Internet connection

Note: This topic only applies for licenses installed with an authorization code.

You must revoke licenses if, for example, you want to move your product to a different machine or if you no longer use your product and want to reallocate the license.

You must have write access on the license file that contains the authorization codes.

  1. Start Micro Focus License Administration
  2. Select the Uninstall Licenses option by inputting 5.
  3. Select the license to revoke and press Enter.
  4. Type the number of licenses to revoke and press Enter.
Important: If there is a problem accessing the Micro Focus License Authorization Server and the revocation fails, your licenses are revoked and cannot be used.

An error message is returned confirming there is no Internet connection. This message includes the name of the file containing the License Revocation Tickets (LRTs).
