When converting a record layout or segment layout file from one character set to another, the DFCONV utility and the IMS Database
loader could cause corruption if the file contains Open PL/I to COBOL data item type mappings for CHAR VARYING, BIT, WIDECHAR,
or WIDECHAR VARYING.
