To Associate a Database XA Resource with a SIT
When a transaction uses a SQL database, the connection string defined in the database XA resource definition associated with
the region will, by default, be used to connect to that database. A database XA resource definition can be associated with
a region at either the SIT or region startup file level. When specified in both the SIT and region start-up file, the region
startup file takes precedence. To associate a database XA resource definition with a SIT:
- Open the resource definition file using the Enterprise Server for .NET Administration UI's CICS Resources File Editor.
- Select the SIT you want to configure in the Results pane. See 1 in the diagram below. A properties window is now displayed to the right-hand side of the Results pane.
- Locate the SQL category in the properties window and enter the XA resource definition name that you want associated with the SIT as the value of the XA resource name property. See 2 in the diagram below.

You must cold-start the region for the changes to take effect.
