Open a Merged Spool File

You must have first created a merged spool file, either using the JCL job or command line utility supplied with your product.

From the Micro Focus Data File Tools window, click File > Open > Spool Archive.
The Open dialog box appears.
Navigate to the required merged spool file (M_SPLJOB.dat), then click Open.
The spool file is displayed in the main window.
Double-click the required spool job.
A dialog box appears, listing the data sets associated with the spool job.
Double-click the required data set.
The Open Data File dialog box appears.
Click Open Shared.
Note: There are a number of other options that you can set on this dialog box, but you probably only want to view the data set in Shared mode.

The data set appears. Use the filter options to search for information in the data set.
