View the Catalog

The catalog file holds the details of data sets required by the JCL jobs that run in an enterprise server. To view the catalog:

1. In Server Explorer, right-click JCLDEMO and choose Show Catalog.

   Alternatively, in Solution Explorer, right-click your project, and click Enterprise Server > Show Catalog.

2. Click List in the page that appears.

   This shows the catalog file, MFIJCL.OUTFILE.DATA, created by the example job. If this file isn't shown, check Cataloged Only.

3. Click the DCB link to see the catalog entry.

   Note that Codeset for the file is ASCII.

4. To view the file, click Display.

   The file contents are displayed.
