DBUTIL is a general-purpose tool executed from JCL for issuing DL/I calls and special functions against an IMS database. It runs as a BMP type program in IMS. It is very useful in testing DL/I functions and verifying IMS data without having to write a program. However, to execute it requires a generated PSB.
