Run the ACCTWEB Application in a Web Browser

Run the ACCTWEB application from a Web browser, and access the data you added while interacting with the application in TN3270 mode.

Now that you have added data, you can access it by running the application from a Web browser.

  1. Open a browser and enter the following URL: http://localhost:55220/ACCTWEB. The name ACCTWEB is case sensitive. This takes you to the ACCTWEB page.
  2. In the Surname field, type the first letter of a surname for a record you added. For example, if you used the supplied test data, type W (upper case).
  3. Click Submit. You should see all records you added that have a surname starting with the letter you submitted. If you used the supplied test data, you should see both Washington records.
  4. Close the browser.
